Why oh Why...are we always sick for Christmas...

So the past two days I have been dealing with Emma's runny and sore butt, it is getting much much better though. I have ignored my own little warning signs that I am getting sick. Yup...full out head cold came on wrapping presents last night. I feel miserable and can not wait to go home tonight!!! My ears are plugged, my nose is nonstop, my skin is creepy crawly, and I feel just plain ole crappy! On top of that what the heck can you take when you are still nursing? I am doing lozenges, water, zicam, vicks rub...what else is there?? Sorry this is more of a vent then anything. Emma is doing much better, but she is probably going to get this darn cold now.Blah!

Poor Emma is sick. She has runny snotty diapers and a really raw toosh to boot. Poor kid. She was super clingy today and had a small temp. Hopefully she will recup. soon as we have shopping to finish this weekend!!! That's all for now folks. Have a good weekend.

Playgroup today!

Two weeks without Playgroup WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO!!!!?? We made cute little ornament keepsakes today. They are felt with the toddlers footprint in paint pressed on it. They turned out pretty cool. We made one last year too, I cant wait to see them side by side. I will have to take a picture and post it. Not much else to report. Winter is almost officially here and it feels like it has been winter forever already!! Only how many more months til spring....3? It could be a LoooNg winter!

46 degrees to 8 degrees is CRazY!

When I left work last night it was 46 degrees and rainy, I woke up to Emma whimpering and the wind HOWLING! at 5am. Poor kid. She had no idea what was up. We woke up again at 830a. to find that schools were closed and the snow was flying horizontal and total whiteout! What fun!

Seriously we have tons of the stuff and believe it or not a white Christmas we will have! My friend Whitney is getting hitched this weekend and so we will be busy with that. She and her BF have a one year old little girl and she is really cute. Emma loves to play with Rory and looks forward to all their playdates. Here's to happy last minute shopping!!

Emma says BABYDOLL!!

I have it on video even! We went out and played in the snow today while Daddy plowed the many inches of snow we got overnight. Mack was so happy for all of us to be outside..he is still such a frisky "puppy!" at 3 years old he has tons of energy. Here are some pic's of Emma all bundled up and in her new sled. I was going to save it for Christmas, but today was the perfect day to use it.

Yup. All this snow that is falling freely from the sky! We have a winter storm warning up through Friday A.M. wow! 10-20 inches depending on where you are...oh yeah, up to 2 feet by NewBerry Mom and Dad! Arent you glad you left when you did..you crazy winter Texans!!! Love ya! It slowed down this afternoon after the system snow moved out, now we are waiting for the NW winds to pick up and scoop up that Lk. Michigan moisture and dump more of that fluffy white stuff on us. Here's to a white Christmas and lots of happy skiiers!

Oh boy Oh Boy another winter storm watch!!

First we got dumped on Monday resulting in no school now we are in line for more snow on Thursday! Winter is here and I think it will be sticking *ha ha * around for awhile!

We cut down our tree on Sunday. It's and 8 foot Douglas Fir. Very nice and only set us back 10 bucks. I decorated it Monday with Emma's Help lol..or lack of. She took off ornaments as fast as I put them on.

Personal Post.

Well, Blogs are for lots of reasons and sometimes they are for airing dirty laundry...This weekend was fun but also a bit tough. I was confronted by someone I love very much about my weight. This is something that I have dealt with since I was a teenager (though I didnt balloon up until I was in my mid- twenties and now) What frustrates me is that people ASSUME that I eat too much, which on the contrary, I eat too little most days. I have been to a doctor asking them to do something, anything. What they have found is that my body produces to much of the male hormone, it's a slight amount above, but enough to wreck havoc on my weight and appearance (hair growth in places women SHOULD NOT have hair), I have been desperate in the past to lose weight. I have exercised obsessively, I have starved myself for months, I have denied myself any joy in food, only to have any weight I have lost come racing back. It breaks my heart that I have spent a large majority of my life dealing with this. I do not want my daughter to have to go through what I have. I pray to God that she does not inherit the imbalance that has basically ruined my physical life. Once again this monster has reared its ugly head and I am faced with many choices on what to do. My Dr. and I are working on this and I would appreciate encouragement, not remarks...believe me I dont need someone to point out my weight...it's the first thing I think about in the morning and the last before I go to bed. Thanks for letting me air my mind. It was a tough weekend.

Christmas Tree Hunt!

We cut down our tree today, before the weather changed. It is blowing and wet out right now.

Emma had No idea what was up, but she likes the tree. We got a Douglas Fir...for 10 dollars lol..its great knowing tree growers!

Heading out of town for Turkey Day!

I have been away for a bit..our darn internet has been insane...it works and then it doesnt..the past couple of days it hasnt worked a darn...so we reset it and now it is working again..we are going to Lansing for our holiday and are leaving tomorrow in the late morning. Hoping for good driving weather.

Emma's got the poutiest little lip I have ever seen...when I tell her NO..she sticks that lip out and when I really mean it...she turns those little lips down and the tears start to flow...what a horrible mommy lol..poor kid.

First Snow of the year--and slow as heck internet!

Our internet here at work is Sloooooowwww! So I am not able to do all I want to right now..here is a pic of Emma today in her snowpants and winter coat and boots that are 4 sizes too big..she couldnt walk!! Ugh..pic wont load..next week hopefully!! See you all soon!~

too good to be true....

Ugh...so I was one of the many, many people who fell for the cheap Britax Carseats on Target.com. come to find out that they mispriced it and are not honoring it. I emailed them and told them mind. I am bummed. oh well. Time to save for when I do need to get a new seat for Emma. I still want the Britax, but will have to get a cheaper one for hubby.

Dr. Appt.

So I went to the Dr. yesterday to have my thyroid looked at. It is sore and swollen. Well, my blood tests came back NORMAL! Go figure! Soooo I guess that is good news...now why the heck is it swollen. I will keep an eye on it and hopefully it will go down. It was thrown out of whack after Emma and the blood tests ran high in August. So Normal is good..now to work on the rest of me.

Okay so History was made Yesterday! It is exciting, I dont support him, but I will admit that it was a HUGE thing. I have done a lot of praying and hope that God is listening. I pray for guidance and good judgement. Thanks for putting up with me. Kim

Election....Obama supporters....dont read...

I hate to say it, but I am really, really bahhumbug about this election. I was not a huge McCain Fan, LOVED LOVED Sarah Palin, and feel that Obama is NOT the Messiah the media is making him out to be. Well, it looks like he is our next President and I am having a hard as heck time accepting that. God Help us if my gut is right about him. I am to the point that I almost vomited last night on my way home at the thought of him becoming President.... and its not his race, I could care less about that, its the lack of experience, the fact that his Rev. has said some downright MEAN, Degrading things about our wonderful nation, his relationship with Bill Ayers among others...and why the heck is his Birth Cert. sealed...HELLO that is public knowledge!!! I honestly think he has been the smoothest talking canidate since Clinton...Prove me wrong Obama!!!

Tutu Fun~

We had such an unbelievable day here! 74 degrees and sunny. We voted this morning....and it doesnt look to good...darn it...wait and see..this is always the hardest part for me. On to our day. I put Emma in her new tutu and she liked it! It is sooo cute! I need to add more fabric to cover the open spots, but other then that its perfect. She also ate with a spoon for the first time!!! Yogurt! Sooo exciting and I got it on video.

I decided to get crafty today and make Emma a Tutu...New Sew...it has turned out so far. I just need to finish it...sew it together..or I might make it button together. That way it is adjustable for when she grows. Here is a pic...Also I bought a very cute Knit hat with a Purple Flower that just needed something else...so I added some Flair to that too.

Halloween!!

Howdy all! We had a fun Halloween...albeit a tad laidback. Emma and I went downtown trick-or-treating with a friend from Emma's playgroup, Rory, and her mom and dad. It was BUSY, but a lot of fun. It was such a beautiful day. We played in the leaves before we headed our seperate ways. For a second Halloween it was a pretty good day.

We had snow today darn it! Cold wind and freezing white stuff falling from the sky..not to mention a very crabby baby clinging to my legs all morning! UGH! It was a rough day..I think Emma and I both suffer from PMS!! @*$Q!!!!

Cold!!

Traverse City broke a record this morning for cold! It was 23 degrees!! WOW! Its pretty darn cold out right now too..40 degrees and windy. Winter is coming...watch out!

Visit!

My parents visited today! They were down for a checkup on Mom's new Knee! The Dr is impressed from what my dad said. Good Job Mom! Emma loves seeing Gramma and Grandpa! I cant wait until she tries to say their names..heck I can't wait until she says Momma and Dada to us and not to the wall, her baby dolls, food, etc....lol!! She is one Stubborn cookie...most babies will imitate you..not Emma, she will not repeat until she is sitting in her carseat, or playing then she babbles and carries on. Crazy kid!

Kinda a quiet day

Emma woke up this morning a BEAR! Literally, she cried and whined off and on all morning. We have both been stuffy -seasonal allergies or colds...not sure- I also noticed tooth number 8!!! Holy cow how did that come about so fast....we just had only 4....It is her left incisor. Poor kid! That was our day....not to mention that it indeed feels like Fall out. Cool and windy. Spooky! lol

Chris has sold over 1100 dollars in Popcorn to date!!! wow!

Fall In the North! Wind is Howling!!!

Wow !!!The wind has picked up here (its 1140pm) and it is HOWLING! Burrrrr.....It will be good to go home and crawl into bed and snuggle in! The temp is currently 40 degrees and dropping. Folks Winter is soooo close! YIKES!! It was only a week or so ago that we had the windows open and were enjoying the Indian Summer. Ah...Fall In Northern Michigan!!!!

Oh me oh My Pumpkins!

Emma and I headed out to look at falls splendor (and a garage sale or two lol) and we figured what the heck lets look as some pumpkins and see what she thinks...Well....she was more fascinated by the dirt and the rocks then the pumpkins (which are known as warty pumpkins) Maybe next year we will have this figured out!

It was 80 degrees this day and she finally held a pumpkin for me !!! And tried to eat it!!!!

Boy Scouts

Chris has joined Boy Scouts and loves it! He has been selling popcorn and is up to over 800$ in Sales! Go Chris Go! He is a Bear Cub this year (how appropriate eh!) He wears that shirt and Bandana with pride! I LOVE what they are going to show him and teach him. It is great for his confidence and self-esteem.

I put Emma's Hair in Piggies (two pigtails) for the first time...they were not balanced, but what the hay!! It was cute! I have to figure out how to post pictures.
